The role of translation in the Russian-Ukrainian war

Translation is an inseparable part of social life, as we cannot separate it from what is going on in the world around us. The war erupted between Russia and Ukraine, and the war has many dangers and its negative impact is like wildfire spreading in various countries of the world. When war drums, the role of the translator is like that of a doctor, like the role of military forces and soldiers on the borders. There is no way to win the battle except through a linguistic mediator who translates the opponent’s mouthpiece with utmost honesty, and tries to negotiate to reach the safe situation in the country. Since we often find that conflicting countries do not speak the same language, here comes the urgent role of translation. Translating presidential speeches and political forces, translating negotiations and treaties, translating important conversations, translating news between the languages of the conflicting countries and from there to all countries of the world through the translation of press news, radio interviews and political programs.

Translation and the language of war:

Our history is filled with tales of wars. As soon as a war erupted in the western side of the earth, it reverberated on the other side of the planet, and history proves that translation has always been the means of peace between peoples. War is not only armies fighting for victory, but rather a struggle between two different visions in different languages. Not only this, but also different orientations, beliefs, cultures, social values and lifestyles, and here lies the vital and sensitive role of translation, which acts as a facilitator to reconcile views and bridge the gap between the two countries. Translation is the unknown soldier who stands behind security and peace among the peoples of the world.
